Recorder

The Recorder, also known as the Tape Recorder or Tape Player,
is a bonus mechanic in Five Nights at Candy's 3. When music is played through the recorder the night is going faster.

Using the recorder is not required to beat the night. The only exception
being the "My Wake-Up Music Challenge".

gray tape player, with 4 stickers on it presenting: a pink flower,
a rainbow, a palm tree and a lion. It has 5 buttons on the bottom:
Play, Pause, Stop, Rewind, and Go Forward. The green Play button is especially notable. Inside the tape player is a white tape labbeled
"my sleep music".

Gameplay[]

Only 3 buttons on the recorder are interactable, Play, Stop and Go Back. Player can play a music over it by clicking on the Play button, stop it by pressing Stop, and rewind it by pressing Rewind. By playing music night is going much faster than usual.

Recoderbuttons

After an amount of time, track will stop playing automatically, then the player must press Rewind button, this will slowly rewind the tape. If player wants to do this while music is still playing, they must first click on Stop Button.

While music plays, and Monster Rat or Monster Vinnie are under the bed, there is a chance for them to mess with the recorder, making it produce annoying glitching sound. This can be dangerous, as it can make player not hear sound cue when they peek out of the bed. In order to stop the sound, player needs to press Rewind or Stop button.

Trivia[]

  • Next to the recorder, there is a teddybear with red shirt with text "Razz Bearski". This is the reference to youtuber Razzbowski.
  • The fact that the tape is protagonist's "music sleep" according to tape's description, explains why playing the tape makes night go faster, as presumably the protagonist sleeps between night time. This is further confirmed by Origami Cat in Night 1 pre-night minigame.
